Core Funding

University cuts fundingThere has been alot of discussion in these weeks about core funding, so I thought I had better cover this topic this week.

What is core funding?

Core funding is the term in the third sector that refers to the amount of money required to run the basic bare bone service. It is normally 'the service' before any diversification and new projects came on stream. In short, core funding has to be linked very closely to principle aims of the organisation. Are you needs led?

Archery Target Another month has flown and I am still sitting here juggling pies (some of them in their mud form) for the local community. It will be a short one this month, I'm afraid since I must go to bed before 2:00am.... Second Month on funding and I feel that there are many more months to go with this one.
